MRS SERS CHIP
Multi-material and Multi-structures Raman SERS chip
Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) is powerful vibrational spectroscopy technique that enhances Raman scattering by molecules adsorbed on plasmonic surfaces. It generates amplification of electromagnetic fields through excitation light which shooting on surface of substance. SERS is label-free and ultrasensitive to detect biomolecules without being destructive or causing photobleaching.
SERS signals can be enhanced by creating hybrid materials. We developed a new approach called “Composite Nano-Platform (CNP)” or “Hybrid Nano-Platform (HNP)”, a hybrid of nanostructures and nano-chips, to extend applications of SERS sensor. This NP-based SERS probe enhanced sensitivity of R6G SERS at the femtomolar concentration, which enable to detect DNA, pesticides and bacteria. We call it as MRS. It is worth looking forward to evaluating application and development of this platform in the future due to the Stability, Inexpensive, Versatility and Biocompatibility.
MRS SERS chip is a very sensitive substrate, one drop of sample is enough to collect Raman spectrum. Users don’t need to add samples drop-wisely and repeatedly to get stronger and more clear SERS.
The Raman spectrum for SERS as follow, one drop (20 μl) of 10-9 M R6G was added on the MRS chip to achieve 10-15 mole of analytical concentration. PTT RAMaker Micro Raman (ProTrusTech Co.,Ltd Taiwan) featuring 532 nm laser excited source and 10X magnification lens was selected.
